Watch the Video: Frustrated Residents Throw Stunt Bikers’ Motorcycles Off Bengaluru Flyover
In an unprecedented turn of events, frustrated residents and motorists near Bengaluru took matters into their own hands to combat the growing menace of reckless stunt biking. On Thursday, a group of incensed individuals threw two motorcycles off a flyover on the Tumakuru highway, sending a stark message to thrill-seeking bikers who have been terrorizing the area with dangerous stunts.
The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, was sparked by a minor collision involving a stunt performer and another vehicle near Nelamangala. Eyewitnesses report that a group of approximately eight young riders on four two-wheelers had been performing risky maneuvers on the busy thoroughfare.
Following the accident, enraged bystanders surrounded the stunters, managing to seize two of their gearless bikes. In a shocking display of vigilante justice, the crowd hurled the motorcycles from the flyover, sending them plummeting 30 feet onto the service road below. By the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, the young riders had fled.
Nelamangala traffic police have since registered a case and are investigating the incident. A police officer speaking on condition of anonymity stated, “We’ve identified three major hotspots for these stunts: the Electronic City flyover, International Airport Road, and Nelamangala road. Despite increased patrols, some riders still manage to perform stunts after removing their vehicle registration plates.”
Authorities have made contact with the parents of two youths involved in Thursday’s incident, residing in Mathikere and Yeshwantpur in north Bengaluru. While one parent has come forward to cooperate with the investigation, the other remains unreachable. Police have assured that appropriate action will be taken against those involved.
